"VA Linux Systems today announced the availability of a new suite of packaged services and support for Open Source software, provided through VA Linux Professional Services."

"VA Linux Professional Services will be offering its Open Source Software Support and Maintenance Program for applications such as Apache, the most widely used web server software on the Internet; Squid, a high-performance web caching server; Linux Virtual Server (LVS), load-balancing software for Web and ftp servers; and Heartbeat, high-availability software for clusters."

"The Open Source Software Support and Maintenance Program complements the VA Linux ISP JumpStart Program, which was launched in May of this year to assist companies in the planning, design and implementation of their Internet infrastructure solutions. Support and maintenance offerings provide customers with direct access to VA's Level Two and Three support teams, identification of performance upgrades and fixes, and other services."
